Here are 5 things you can do to get ready.
1. Drink More Water
Because the Program utilizes the body’s natural detox process, drinking enough water is key.
The body requires 3.5 liters (15 cups) of water a day for normal basic body functions like processing & digesting food, organ & brain function, circulation, blood flow etc.
Start slow by drinking water earlier in the day and spread it out. This can feel like work, so take the time to slowly ease into it.
2. Eat More Often
Letting long periods of time go by without food can reinforce the need for the body to store fat.
Try to eat every 2.5 to 3.5 hours to help stimulate your digestive system.
If you are not hungry, you can keep it light & stick to small snacks.
3. Eat More Fruits & Vegetables
Instead of looking for things to eliminate from your diet, try adding in more good stuff!
Fruits & veggies should be your main source of carbohydrates, adding in heavier carbs as needed.
Not only do they help give your body the energy it needs, they are nutrient rich & important for building up digestive enzymes that aid in digestion.
4. Eat More Healthy Fats
Without enough good fat coming in, your body will be reluctant to let go of the fat it’s feeling a need to store.
One way you can speed up the fat loss process is to add in more quality fat.
Try adding in foods like fish, avocados, nuts, seeds, olives, & drizzling your salads & vegetables with good quality oils.
5. Manage Your Stress
When stressed, your body pumps out cortisol. High cortisol levels can signal weight gain & rapidly deplete your vitamin & mineral reserves.
Here are a few simple things that can have a huge impact:
Get outside & enjoy nature
Practice deep breathing
Take a warm epsom salt bath
Go to bed earlier or try meditation or yoga
Exercise for 20-30 minutes
Read a book
Chat with friends
